So every time I visit any site I am always curious to see their “testimonials” and what people have to say about the company. Well simply said, if I cant put a “testimonial or a comment” on that site then how did those customers put their comments and testimonials on there? Answer: They didn’t, the company made those testimonials or comments on their own and posted them to just self market their company or product. It is simply embarrassing when you think about it. Make sure if your site has “testimonials or comments” that anyone in the world can access posting one...

Getting your website to show up on relevant search phrases organically is really a feat all in itself. However, done well and done right, it can make your business! SEO or Search Engine Optimization is a term that can be quickly misunderstood if you are not in the business. It is very important to keep your eyes on 1 goal in this game and not get off-track. When someone talks SEO, you should be thinking, “what’s the end goal”. Because without a goal, all your neat and clever tactics may just be that, tactics that keep you out of...

Clever website design pricing models can effectively benefit your brand which pads your sales at the end of the day. Appending a price to your product is like giving out a flyer, it’s fantastic for branding your small business, just be cautious about how that message is delivered and what it says. Starting a new relationship with clients with high end pricing screams ‘we’re hot and we know it’. Fighting with a competitor over a low price says ‘I’m not confident in my abilities‘. Not using a considerable pricing structure will land you in the troubled waters of mediocrity. Some...

So one of the services The Web Squad provides it’s website design clients and search engine marketing clients that are on payment plans is comment monitoring. By us monitoring these comments we’re afforded several moments of hilarity when we see the results of oDesk. In the recent past we had discovered one of our clients had also been using oDesk in addition to using our services because realistically oDesk is cheap and even-more-so the quality that comes out of that organization is grossly cheap and negligent. How did we find out about this calamity? Easy, unlike the hacks across seas...

Website design is one of the most important elements in the development and continuation of any small business or large corporation. The most effective form of website design in our opinion is the implementation of back-end content management systems (CMS) and with our experiences we have learned that WordPress offers one of the most robust content management systems available to the general public at no cost, sweet right? Yes, of course it is but the unfortunate fact that we have seen is that not all so-called website designers actually know how to utilize this CMS. So why is the WordPress...

Hello there, and thank you for catching up with us here at The Web Squad. Here lately I have been focusing on a clearly misunderstood and underestimated division of marketing and advertising, branding. I have been working with small business owners for the past ten years and this fact has been continuously proven time and time again. Not only has it been proven on countless occasions but I believe branding has been the victim of neglect and abuse. I personally believe business owners who invest in their companies don’t take the time to learn about branding and what it means...

Hello there, this is your local search engine marketer, website designer and graphic designer at The Web Squad. As I continue to tinker away at our client’s website rankings and positions I have started to conceptualize a unique thought when in reference to search engine marketing. I could be very wrong but my instincts and intuition tell me I am completely right. Now there is no doubt in my mind that search engine marketing is a completely effective way to increase website ranking and position on Google, Bing and Yahoo, especially if our company provides those services. However, I believe...
